Bringing the Spirit of Ikarian Panigiria to San Francisco
The First Ikarian Celebration in the Bay Area Since 2014
Community and Continuity
At its core, a panigiri is an expression of togetherness and collective memory. It connects people to one another, to place, and to tradition; celebrating saints, seasons, and the living link between past and present.

Music and Dance
Live traditional music—led by violin, laouto, or bouzouki—sets the rhythm of the night. Dancing isn’t a performance but a shared experience, unfolding in circles and welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds.

Service and Fellowship
While panigiria are rooted in tradition and joy, they are also acts of service. On Ikaria, each panigiri raises funds for the village that hosts it. In that spirit, proceeds from this event will support the hospital in Agios Kyrikos, Ikaria.
